We encountered this problem with a customer who bought this vehicle in 2022; and the problem, as he described, was that the START button wasn’t working, the dashboard showed no Smart Key detected with 247km on the milometer, so the PEPS (Passive Entry Passive Start) system shut down.
1. Check the keys and backup ones to see if there is any visible damage, or any power left;
2. See any damage on the circuit or any short-out sign;
3. Work on those keys again;
4. Replace the PEPS controller, and the TAGA pickup starts fine after turning the power off and on again.
