The special liquid, antifreeze, in general, is meant to prevent the coolant from freezing in winter.
1) Cooling: through the circulation of antifreeze in the cooling system, the heat generated while the vehicle is running gives out;
2) Anti-corrupt: preservatives are added to antifreeze to prevent corrosion of the vehicle cooling system;
3) Anti-scale: Antifreeze can effectively reduce the generation of scale and prevent the cooling system from blockage;
The above 2 and 3 are both as important as the cooling function.
As dilution water, it consumes all the corrosion inhibitors in the antifreeze, which will corrode the whole cooling system components, and foreign substances appear.
Use no-iron additives or run out of additives, and the iron parts in the cooling system corrode and produce yellow/brown foreign substances and block the heat pipe.
Lack or in a low state level, the aluminum parts other than the radiator corrode and produce grey/teal colored foreign substances, blocking the heat pipe.
If so, all cooling system parts corrode and produce a brown foreign substances, resulting in a penetration of the radiator tube inside.
※ The vehicle water temperature will be much higher because radiator blockage will lead to a reduced cooling effect.
※ It might cause expansion and leakage at the riveting of the water chamber as the water temperature rises, which will lead to expansion of the heat pipe.
※ Low quality antifreeze might corrode and penetrate the radiator tube due to chemical reactions.
