In order to reach the Euro VI standard, The (Diesel Particulate Filter)DPF has come a long way to contribute to the emission control process by capturing the left particulates during each combustion cycle in the diesel engine. While those particulates pile up, they will clog the filter and eventually damage the engine. To avoid such a matter, the function“regeneration”comes in handy, which burns out the particulates effectively to keep the truck in good condition.
The regeneration light will blink and light up when this function is necessary. How to do it properly is essential.
First, park the vehicle in a spacious field, clear any flammable material around the exhaust system, and make sure to pull the handbrake.
Then right after the engine has been running for at least 20 seconds, hold the regeneration button for more than 3 seconds; it means that it starts when the regeneration light is on.
This whole process will take approx. 15-20 minutes. Many factors could interrupt it; if so, please contact your Qingling Isuzu dealer to find the correct steps.
