Although the annual output of the country is less than 20,000 vehicles, it has made tremendous contributions to the national economy. In the next 20 years, it has been in short supply. After the reform and opening up, the light truck industry has entered a stage of rapid development with the development of China's automobile industry. In 1978, the annual output has reached nearly 150,000 vehicles. From 1993 to 2000, it has maintained an annual output of 300,000 vehicles. During the normal development period, the output and product quality have been continuously improved, and the number of exports has also increased. China has become a major light truck manufacturing country. It is worthy of pride that China's light truck industry basically relies on the introduction and absorption and independent innovation based on me. At present, there are 43 manufacturing enterprises, independent brands have absolute advantages, and a large number of enterprises are famous in domestic and foreign markets. It is reported that China's light truck industry has embarked on the road of industrial upgrading.
After 50 years of development, the annual output of light trucks in China has reached 940,000 units in 2008, accounting for 55% of the total output of light trucks in the world of 1.7 million, and the independent brands in the light truck industry have an absolute advantage, with a share of more than 95%.
